Terms of Use

Last updated: June 15, 2026. These Terms are the core agreement for using TradeYard. Detailed marketplace behavior rules are kept separately on the Rules page so the same text is not duplicated.

1. Overview

By using TradeYard, you agree to these Terms and the related marketplace rules and policies linked above. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

TradeYard is an early marketplace MVP and may change features, categories, seller tools, moderation processes, pricing, and availability over time.

2. Marketplace role

TradeYard provides a platform for local listings, auctions, services, seller stores, messages, search, and marketplace discovery.
TradeYard is not a party to transactions between users unless a page or written agreement specifically says otherwise.
TradeYard does not guarantee item condition, seller identity, buyer payment, ownership, pickup, delivery, shipping, service quality, or transaction outcome.

3. Accounts and user content

Users are responsible for their account activity, listings, messages, photos, store profiles, reviews, and other content they submit.
Users must provide accurate information and must not post misleading, illegal, unsafe, stolen, counterfeit, abusive, or prohibited content.

4. Direct buyer/seller deals

In the current MVP, buyers and sellers arrange payment, pickup, delivery, inspection, returns, taxes, warranties, and final deal terms directly with each other.
TradeYard does not process item payments, does not hold funds, does not provide escrow, and does not provide payment protection for direct user transactions.
Users should keep important transaction details in writing and follow the Safety Center guidance.

5. Site tools, promotion balance, and tariffs

Paid site tools, tariffs, subscription plans, featured listings, store promotion, and advertising features may be offered separately from item payments.
Current or planned seller plans and promotion tools are listed on Pricing & Tariffs and Advertising.
Payments for TradeYard site tools do not mean TradeYard is processing or guaranteeing a buyer/seller item transaction.

6. Moderation and enforcement

TradeYard may review, edit, hide, reject, remove, limit, or suspend listings, messages, accounts, stores, or features when needed for rules, safety, security, abuse prevention, or platform quality.
TradeYard may investigate reports, but cannot guarantee that every issue will be resolved or that every transaction risk can be prevented.

7. Disclaimers and limits

TradeYard is provided on an “as available” basis during the MVP stage. The platform may have errors, downtime, incomplete features, changing rules, or changing availability.

Users are responsible for evaluating listings, users, item condition, prices, legal requirements, taxes, pickup, delivery, and payment decisions before completing a transaction.
